BALTIMORE, MARYLAND — In a significant development in a month-old homicide case, Baltimore detectives have apprehended 27-year-old Earl Lee in connection with the fatal shooting of David Boykins.

Shortly after 6 p.m. on October 6th, officers were called to the 2000 block of Cliftwood Avenue following reports of gunfire. There, they discovered a 28-year-old male, later identified as Boykins, gravely wounded with multiple gunshot injuries. Despite rapid transport to a local hospital, Boykins succumbed to his injuries.

Through extensive investigation, authorities linked Earl Lee to the crime, culminating in his arrest on November 8th by the Regional Auto Theft Taskforce. Lee, captured in the 700 block of North Ellwood Street, now faces charges of first-degree murder and various handgun violations.

Following his arrest, Lee was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility. He remains detained without bail, awaiting further legal proceedings. The police continue their investigation and encourage anyone with more information to come forward.
