Allegheny County Pizzeria Sells $213 Million Powerball Jackpot Ticket

MIDDLETOWN, PA — A Pennsylvania Lottery retailer in Allegheny County sold a Powerball jackpot ticket worth $213.8 million for the drawing on Monday, August 12.

The winning ticket matched all five white balls, 9-22-57-67-68, and the red Powerball 14, resulting in a jackpot with an estimated annuity value of $213.8 million, or a cash value of $106.4 million before taxes.

AJ’s Pizza, located at 3565 Harts Run Road in Pittsburgh, will receive a $100,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. Pennsylvania Lottery Executive Director Drew Svitko congratulated the winner and retailer, highlighting the role of lottery sales in funding vital programs for seniors across the state.

This marks the sixth Powerball jackpot win of the year and the 20th in Pennsylvania since the game’s introduction in 1992. The last jackpot win in Pennsylvania occurred in August 2022, with a $206.9 million ticket sold in Westmoreland County. The recent jackpot run generated over $16.6 million in sales, benefiting older Pennsylvanians with a $6.6 million profit.
