Police say a 39-year-old woman was hospitalized after being shot Wednesday night in the Southern District.
BALTIMORE, Md. — A woman was taken to a hospital Wednesday night after she was found with a gunshot wound in South Baltimore, prompting an investigation by city detectives.
Officers responded at about 9:15 p.m. Wednesday to the 2700 block of Washington Boulevard for a reported shooting, according to Baltimore Police.
When officers arrived, they found a 39-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound.
Police said the victim’s injuries were not considered life-threatening. She was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Southern District shooting detectives responded to the scene and are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
No suspect information has been released.
