Mount Vernon, NY – A lucky Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold in Mount Vernon for the January 31 drawing, the New York Lottery announced.

The winning ticket was purchased at Memorial Stationery, located at 414 E Sandford Blvd. The third-tier win was achieved by matching four white balls and the red Power Ball.

The Powerball drawing occurs three times a week and offers a range of prize levels depending on how many numbers a player matches.
