WASHINGTON, D.C. – In an early morning crime spree, an armed carjacking occurred in the 900 block of New Jersey Avenue in Southeast D.C., with police now on the hunt for the suspect.

The incident took place just before 2 a.m., with the D.C. Police Department issuing a lookout for a suspect described as a black man wearing dark clothing. The vehicle involved, a 2023 Chevy Malibu with Virginia license plates, was reported stolen.
