Police warn suspect in blue clothing and work boots remains on the loose after robbery investigation

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Police are searching for a robbery suspect after a crime alert was issued Tuesday night in Southeast Washington following an incident near T Street.

The Metropolitan Police Department said officers responded to the 1300 block of T Street SE at approximately 9:11 p.m. for a reported robbery.

Authorities described the suspect as a Black male wearing a blue shirt, blue pants, and brown work boots.

Police have not released additional details about the robbery or whether any injuries were reported.

MPD urged residents not to approach the suspect and instead immediately call 911 if the individual is seen.

The investigation remains ongoing.
