$4M Mega Millions win leads Maryland’s biggest lottery prizes of the week
BALTIMORE, Md. — A $4 million Mega Millions ticket sold in Montgomery County topped the list of Maryland Lottery wins last week, leading a stretch that saw more than $36 million paid out across the state.
The biggest prize came from a ticket sold in Silver Spring for the March 10 drawing. The $4 million win was claimed by an anonymous Montgomery County couple who said they are considering using the money to buy a new home.
Several other large prizes were also claimed or sold during the week of March 9 through March 15.
A $500,000 scratch-off prize was sold at an Acme store in Ocean City, while a $100,000 winning ticket was purchased at a 7-Eleven in Silver Spring.
Multiple $50,000 scratch-off prizes were sold across the state, including tickets in Laurel, District Heights and Frederick.
Lottery officials said 38 tickets worth $10,000 or more were sold or claimed during the week.
Other notable wins included a $20,000 FAST PLAY ticket sold in Timonium and several PICK 5 tickets worth $25,000 and $50,000 across locations including Glen Burnie, Catonsville and Baltimore.
Officials said winners have limited time to claim prizes, with most draw and FAST PLAY tickets expiring 182 days after purchase or drawing.
Players are encouraged to sign their tickets and keep them in a safe place until they are claimed.
