**WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ** – Two suspects have been charged concerning a home invasion and attempted vehicle theft that occurred on January 20 at a residence on Baileys Corner Road. The incident involved three masked individuals breaking into the home through a rear window.

The homeowner reported that the suspects took car keys but could not steal the vehicle. They fled in a dark-colored car, traveling west on Allaire Road towards State Highway 34 after the homeowner contacted the police.

Detective Zach Honecker’s investigation identified the suspects as 21-year-old Yasir Twitty and 19-year-old Nymir Marks, both from Newark. They face charges, including 2nd-degree conspiracy to commit residential burglary and two counts of 2nd-degree criminal attempt to commit theft.

Twitty is held in Middlesex County Jail, while Marks is in Essex County Jail. The Wall Township Police Detective Bureau continues to investigate, seeking to identify the third suspect involved. The West Orange Police Department worked with law enforcement from Verona and Cedar Grove Police Departments. Through video analysis and intelligence sharing, Detective Vanderhoof successfully identified the suspect. His methods included surveillance, interviews, and searches.

On December 2, Hakir Hodges, 28, from Newark, NJ, was charged in connection with these incidents. He faces eight counts related to burglary and theft from motor vehicles, and two counts of attempted burglary.

The arrests were made following the execution of a court-authorized search warrant at residences on Kensington Avenue in Jersey City and Hunterdon Street in Newark, leading to the seizure of more than 100 grams of suspected cocaine, over 30 grams of suspected heroin, and other suspected prescription drugs.

Errol Allen, a 52-year-old resident of Jersey City, faces charges including the operation of a Controlled Dangerous Substance Production Facility, possession with intent to distribute cocaine and heroin, and possession with intent to distribute prescription legend drugs like Viagra. He was arrested on Kensington Avenue and was taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility while awaiting his initial court appearance.

Alex Darby, aged 52, from Newark, is charged with similar offenses, including maintaining a drug production facility, possession with intent to distribute cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school, and hindering apprehension. Darby was apprehended on Hunterdon Street and is currently at Essex County Correctional Facility pending his court date.
