**Union City, NJ** – A Union City man, Carlos Manzini, 76, has been arrested by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office following an investigation by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. The arrest took place on Tuesday at a residence on 33rd Street in Union City.

The charges against Manzini include Endangering the Welfare of a Child/Possession of Child Sex Abuse Material, a second-degree crime. After the arrest, he was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility, awaiting his first court appearance.

The case began on March 20, when the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office received a tip about the uploading of child sex abuse material from an electronic device. Detective work revealed hundreds of abusive materials on Manzini’s computer.

**HARRISBURG, PA** – Attorney General Michelle Henry has announced the conviction of Antoinette Hodge, a former treasurer of Uniontown city, for embezzling around $106,000 in taxpayer funds between 2020 and 2021. A jury in Fayette County found Hodge guilty of multiple charges, including theft by unlawful taking and perjury.

The case was referred to the Office of Attorney General by the Fayette County District Attorney and was jointly investigated by the Attorney General’s Office and the Forty-Eighth Statewide Investigating Grand Jury. Hodge is scheduled for sentencing on November 21.

Attorney General Henry commented on the verdict, emphasizing the importance of prosecuting such crimes to uphold the integrity of local government. She affirmed her office’s commitment to protecting taxpayers from abuse of power by elected officials.

Hodge, who became Uniontown’s Treasurer in 2019, failed to deposit cash received by the tax office for personal use. On Wednesday, authorities from the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit detained Fernando-Gomez, a Union City resident, after the reported incident. The charges against him include Sexual Assault by Contact and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Fernando-Gomez, aged 48, was taken into custody at his home and is currently held at the Hudson County Correctional Facility. The alleged incidents occurred on May 19 in Jersey City, and the accused is reportedly known to the victim.
