Woman wins $250K from scratch at Ohio gas station

Brookville woman hits $250K jackpot on $5 scratch-off at local gas station

BROOKVILLE, OH – A Brookville woman’s stop at a local gas station turned into a quarter-million-dollar payday after a $5 scratch-off ticket delivered one of the Ohio Lottery’s top prizes.

The winning Jackpot Party ticket was purchased at the Sunoco Gas Station at 237 Market Street. The woman scratched her way to the game’s $250,000 top prize — one of several still up for grabs across Ohio.

After standard tax withholdings of 26.75%, she will take home $183,125.

Jackpot Party is a $5 instant-win game offering more than $23 million in total cash prizes. As of Tuesday, six top prizes of $250,000 remain unclaimed statewide.

The Ohio Lottery has returned more than $34 billion to education since its founding in 1974.
