CROFTON, MD — A $50,000-winning Powerball ticket from Monday night’s drawing was sold at the 7-Eleven on Defense Highway in Crofton, making it the latest third-tier prize claimed in Maryland this year.

Although no one hit the estimated $280 million jackpot, the Jan. 13 drawing produced 11,184 Maryland winners, with prizes ranging from $4 to $50,000. The winning numbers were 4, 6, 16, 39, and 66, with a Powerball of 9 and a Power Play multiplier of x2.

Lottery officials are reminding players to check their tickets carefully. The lucky winner who purchased the ticket in Crofton can claim their prize by visiting Lottery headquarters in Baltimore. Prizes over $25,000 require an in-person or mail-in claim, with appointments necessary for in-person visits.

This is the fourth $50,000 Powerball-winning ticket sold in Maryland in 2025. Another Anne Arundel County retailer, located in Arnold, sold a $50,000 winning ticket just two days earlier in the Jan. 11 drawing.

The Powerball jackpot now climbs to an estimated $303 million for the Wednesday, Jan. 15 drawing, with a cash option of $132.8 million.
