MCKEESPORT, PA – Allegheny County Police are again appealing to the public for help in solving the 2024 shooting death of 34-year-old James Robinson, who was found fatally wounded outside a McKeesport after-hours club just days before Christmas.
The incident occurred around 5:09 a.m. on December 21 at the intersection of South 5th Street and Viola Avenue. Responding officers discovered Robinson suffering from a single gunshot wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators determined the shooting happened outside Reese’s Supper Club, where Robinson had been a guest earlier that morning. Despite months of investigation, detectives have not yet identified a suspect or established a clear motive in the case.
Authorities believe witnesses from the club or surrounding area may hold key information that could help bring closure to Robinson’s family. The department has reiterated that all tips can remain anonymous.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Allegheny County Police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS (1-833-255-8477).
