Maryland players strike it rich with million dollar and six figure prizes

BALTIMORE, Md. — A Baltimore resident claimed a $1 million Scratch-Off prize during a week that saw the Maryland Lottery pay nearly $30 million in winnings, including 22 prizes worth $10,000 or more.

The week’s largest prize came from a Triple Red 777s Scratch-Off ticket worth $1 million that was sold at Wawa, 2845 Rolling Road in Windsor Mill.

Other major winners included a Charles County resident who won $110,000 after a THE BIG SPIN Scratch-Off earned a chance to spin the Big Spin Wheel, and a Triple Red 7s Multiplier Scratch-Off worth $77,777 sold at Sheetz in Cumberland.

A Home Run Riches Walk-Off Winnings FAST PLAY progressive jackpot ticket worth $182,263 was also sold at High’s, 19200 Middletown Road in Parkton. As of July 6, that prize remained unclaimed.

Additional winners included:

  • A $50,000 Powerball ticket sold at Veterans Liquors in Beltsville.
  • Two $20,000 and multiple $10,000 Scratch-Off prizes sold across Maryland.
  • Four PICK 5 tickets worth $25,000 each sold in Baltimore, Finksburg, Rockville and Temple Hills.
  • Several RACETRAX prizes exceeding $11,000.

Maryland Lottery officials said prizes over $25,000 must be claimed at the Lottery Customer Resource Center in Baltimore by appointment.
