NYPD releases details in Kingsbridge Road burglary case

Safe ripped from Bronx apartment in early morning break in getaway car caught on camera

BRONX, NY — Three suspects forced their way into a Bronx apartment at daybreak and made off with a safe containing cash, legal documents and valuables before speeding off in a gray sedan, police said.

The burglary occurred at approximately 7:15 a.m. Jan. 16 in the vicinity of Morris Avenue and East Kingsbridge Road within the 52nd Precinct. Investigators said the three unidentified individuals manipulated a door to gain entry into an apartment inside a residential building.

Once inside, the suspects removed a safe containing approximately $2,000 in cash, a vehicle title and a bottle of perfume valued at about $550.

Authorities said the trio fled northbound on Morris Avenue in a gray sedan. No arrests have been made.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals involved.
