BALTIMORE, MD – Residents of southwest Baltimore once again woke up to gunfire on Friday as an early morning shooting sent one man to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.
According to the Baltimore Police Department, at approximately 4:44 a.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to the 600 block of South Smallwood Street for a report of a shooting.
“Once there, officers located a 54-year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds,” police said in a press statement today. “The victim was transported to an area hospital where his condition is unknown. Due to the victim’s injuries, Homicide Detectives have been notified.”
