Two Arrested Following Assault in D.C.’s Chinatown District

WASHINGTON, DC – The Metropolitan Police Department’s First District has reported the arrests of two individuals linked to a recent assault in Chinatown. The incident occurred outside a business on the 700 block of 7th Street NW on Sunday evening.

During the event, an argument between several suspects and victims escalated into physical violence, resulting in one of the victims needing hospital treatment. Following an investigation, two suspects voluntarily surrendered to authorities on Wednesday.

The arrested individuals, identified as 38-year-old Daniel Tyrone Marshall from Southeast D.C. and 36-year-old Porcha Nicole Jenifer from Brandywine, MD, face charges of Assault with Significant Bodily Injury and Simple Assault, respectively. The investigation into the incident continues, and authorities are seeking further information from the public.
