PHILADELPHIA, PA – A man was fatally shot late Sunday afternoon on a busy stretch of road in Northeast Philadelphia, prompting a homicide investigation.
The gunfire erupted around 4:44 p.m. in the 5000 block of Summerdale Avenue.
Responding officers from the 2nd District found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound before rushing him to Einstein Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:00 p.m.
