Fallston, MD – Three suspects fled a Fallston Walmart after stealing high-value electronics during a grab-and-run theft earlier this month.
A bystander captured video of the suspects leaving the store, including the vehicle’s license plate number.
Deputies later linked the vehicle to an Owings Mills woman now facing theft-related charges.
Deputy Filarecki, assigned to the Northern Precinct, responded to the Walmart on Fallston Boulevard on December 5 for a reported theft involving two women and one man.
Store loss prevention staff reported that the trio loaded shopping carts with merchandise before heading to the electronics section, where they requested two PlayStation 5 consoles and three Apple iPads.
Investigation leads to identified suspect
According to deputies, after the items were scanned at the register, the suspects grabbed the electronics and ran from the store without paying. The total value of the stolen merchandise was estimated at approximately $1,800.
A good samaritan who witnessed the suspects leaving the store recorded a video that included the getaway vehicle’s license plate. Deputies used the plate number to confirm the vehicle was registered to China Banisha Woody, 33, of Owings Mills.
Investigators determined that Woody was involved in the theft, and a criminal summons has been issued for her on theft-related charges.
Two additional suspects remain unidentified
The identities of the two additional suspects have not yet been confirmed. Deputies said they continue to review evidence and seek assistance from the public in identifying the remaining individuals seen in the video.
Authorities have not released descriptions of the suspects or further information about the vehicle. The investigation remains ongoing.
