A Power Play ticket doubled the prize after matching four white balls and the Powerball in Saturday’s drawing.
MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — A Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball with Power Play ticket worth $100,000 was sold in Franklin County for the June 27 drawing, lottery officials announced.
The winning ticket was purchased at Sun Gas & Diesel (Pit Stop), located at 1410 Doron Drive in Greene Township.
The ticket matched four of the five white balls — 3, 16, 28, 30 and 59 — along with the red Powerball 11. Because the player added the $1 Power Play option, the prize doubled from $50,000 to $100,000.
The retailer will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
Lottery officials said winners are not identified until prizes are claimed and tickets are validated. Pennsylvania Powerball prizes must be claimed within one year of the drawing date.
More than 32,000 Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball tickets won prizes of varying amounts in the June 27 drawing, including more than 7,300 tickets purchased with Power Play and more than 3,800 tickets purchased with Double Play.
The Powerball jackpot rolled to an estimated $360 million annuity, or $163.8 million cash, for the next drawing.
