Tattoo Could Help Identify Man Sought in Bensalem Catering Business Burglary

Police say the suspect cut a lock on a refrigerated trailer, stole frozen food and escaped in a stolen U-Haul truck.

BENSALEM, Pa. — Police are asking the public to identify a man accused of breaking into a refrigerated trailer at a Bensalem catering business, stealing frozen food products and fleeing in a stolen U-Haul truck early Sept. 1.

The burglary happened between approximately 5:15 and 5:45 a.m., according to a public identification alert issued by the Bensalem Police Department.

Distinctive forearm tattoo may offer a clue

Investigators released surveillance images of the man and urged residents to examine them closely. Police said the suspect appears to have a distinctive tattoo on his forearm that could help someone recognize him.

The department did not identify the catering business, disclose the value of the stolen food or provide additional details about the U-Haul truck. Police also did not say where or when the rental vehicle had been stolen.

UPDATE: No arrest had been announced when the alert was issued. The man shown in the images is being sought for identification as part of an active investigation.

Police seek information from the public
