Man Found Shot In Chest In D.C.

WASHINGTON, DC – Police are investigating after a man was found with a gunshot wound to the chest in Southeast, D.C. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning within the 3400 Block of 22nd Street.

At approximately 1 a.m., officers from the Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at the location. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered an adult male victim with a gunshot wound to his chest.

The victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. As a result, a homicide investigation has been initiated by the authorities to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

No arrests have been made.
