NEW YORK, NY — Two lucky Take 5 players won $9,444 each in the December 5 midday drawing, with top-prize-winning tickets sold in Brooklyn and Jamaica, New York Lottery officials announced Thursday.
The tickets were purchased at D O M Grocery on 2911 Fulton Street in Brooklyn and Ideal Food Basket on 175-35 Hillside Avenue in Jamaica. Both matched all five numbers drawn from a pool of one through 39.
Take 5 drawings occur twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., giving players the chance to win prizes ranging from matching two to five numbers.
Lottery winners have up to one year from the drawing date to claim their prizes and are reminded to sign the back of their tickets to ensure security.
