The winning ticket was sold at Foster Discounts Inc., located at 1705 Foster Ave., where one customer matched all five numbers in the Aug. 31 drawing, scoring the game’s top payout. The TAKE 5 Midday drawing is held daily at 2:30 p.m., with players selecting numbers from 1 to 39.

The winning combination netted the player a prize of $18,072. TAKE 5 also holds an evening drawing at 10:30 p.m., giving players two chances daily to win.

Lottery officials confirmed the prize can be claimed within one year of the draw date. All Lottery retailers, including the Foster Avenue location, are authorized to sell tickets and validate winnings up to certain limits.
