BUFFALO, NY – Victor M. Cramer-Williams, also known as “Bookie,” a 28-year-old man from Buffalo, was sentenced on Monday before Erie County Court Judge James Bargnesi to 20 years in prison and five years of post-release supervision. The Erie County District Attorney, John J. Flynn, made the announcement.
On Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at around 11:00 pm, Cramer-Williams discharged multiple rounds from an illegal firearm at a man in an apartment on the 200 block of Auburn Avenue in Buffalo. Following the incident, another individual was injured by gunfire, and Cramer-Williams fled the scene immediately.
Both victims were transported by ambulance to ECMC. The male victim, aged 47, was treated for injuries and survived. However, the female victim, 37-year-old Erica M. Ralston of Buffalo, died from her injuries on February 8, 2022.
After extensive investigations, Cramer-Williams was located on April 14, 2022, by a joint force comprising the Buffalo Police Department, U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force, and FBI Safe Streets Task Force. After attempting to evade arrest and resisting officers, Cramer-Williams was apprehended, and an illegal firearm was recovered.
Cramer-Williams pleaded guilty to one count of First Degree Manslaughter on June 13.
