Columbus Player Stunned by $37K Jackpot Win

COLUMBUS, OH — Elaine is celebrating a $37,436 win on the Ohio Lottery’s EZPLAY® Going Pro jackpot, and she still can’t believe it.

Elaine and her fiancé were at Sequoia Pro Bowl on Sandalwood Blvd in Columbus when they decided to try their luck. Initially confused by the machine’s reaction, she was in disbelief when she realized she had hit the jackpot.

“I was quite confused when I won, actually,” Elaine admitted. “We’ve seen before where when we put money in, and someone else will win. It’ll come up and the machine will have a reaction and it will reset.”

The excitement of realizing she was the winner was exhilarating. “I really didn’t feel it was real,” she shared.

After mandatory state and federal taxes, totaling 28 percent, Elaine will receive approximately $26,953.92. She plans to save some of her winnings and use the rest to pay off debt.
