CHERRY HILL, N.J. — Former Cherry Hill Mayor Bernard A. “Bernie” Platt has passed away, the Cherry Hill Police Department announced Friday.
Platt, a longtime public servant, was remembered for his years of dedicated service to the community. A photograph shared by the department showed him alongside retired Cherry Hill Fire Chief Robert Giorgio and retired Police Chief Richard Del Campo.
The police department extended its sympathies to the Platt family, saying, “We express gratitude for his years of service.”
