WASHINGTON, D.C. — Police in D.C. asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects linked to multiple robbery incidents that occurred during a crime spree on Monday, December 2.
The string of robberies began early that morning and spanned several neighborhoods in Northeast and Southeast Washington. According to police, the suspects, often brandishing handguns, targeted victims in at least seven separate incidents:
- 6:01 a.m.: Three suspects robbed a victim at gunpoint in the 600 block of 10th Street NE, fleeing with the victim’s property.
- 6:30 a.m.: The same suspects attempted to rob a victim at 3rd and K Streets NE but fled empty-handed.
- 6:55 a.m.: The suspects robbed victims at gunpoint in the 1300 block of East Capitol Street NE before fleeing.
- 7:00 a.m.: Another robbery occurred in the 1800 block of Burke Street SE, where a handgun was used to steal the victim’s belongings.
- 7:30 a.m.: In the 200 block of I Street NE, the suspects assaulted a victim and stole their property. Around the same time, another victim was robbed at gunpoint in the 600 block of D Street NE.
- 7:46 a.m.: The final known robbery occurred in the 600 block of Constitution Avenue NE, where the suspects again used a handgun to demand the victim’s property.
Surveillance footage captured images of the suspects, which police have released in hopes of identifying those responsible.
