February 5, 2021

Notexactly.News – White House Press Secretary Jennifer Psaki is being quoted as saying President Joe Biden did not want to unite Democrats and Republicans in February of 2021 after the President earlier claimed he wants to unify the country. The post refers to a recent press conference video.

The claim:

White House Press Secretary Jennifer Psaki said President Joe Biden does not want to unite Democrats and Republicans after being challenged on his campaign promise to bring unity to America.  In that press conference, Psaki is heard saying, “He didn’t run on a promise to unite the Democratic and Republican parties into one party”

Is it fake news?

Psaki said, “The ran on unifying the country and putting forward ideas that would help address the crisis we’re facing, he didn’t run on a promise to unite the Democrat and Republican party as one party in Washington.”
