Fatal Shooting in D.C. Leaves Young Man Dead, One Injured

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Detectives are investigating a shooting that resulted in one fatality and another person injured in Northwest D.C. on Monday evening.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:12 PM on Monday in the 7300 block of Blair Road. Upon arrival, Fourth District officers found a man, later identified as 21-year-old Rashaud Johnson of Northwest, with gunshot injuries.

DC Fire and EMS pronounced him dead at the scene. Subsequently, another victim was discovered in the 800 block of Fern Street, also suffering from gunshot injuries but in a non-life-threatening condition.

Police are actively searching for a suspect described as wearing black glasses, a gray jacket, and black jeans.
