Brooklyn, NY —A 20-year-old man was pistol-whipped and robbed of his car in a violent early-morning attack in Brooklyn, leaving him with a head injury and facial swelling, according to the NYPD.
The robbery happened around 3:20 a.m. Sunday, March 29, outside 2160 Flatbush Avenue in the 63rd Precinct, where three unidentified individuals approached the victim as he sat inside a gray 2011 Audi, police said.
Victim injured during armed carjacking
One of the suspects displayed a firearm and forcibly removed the victim from the vehicle before striking him in the head with the weapon, authorities said. The group then fled the scene in the stolen Audi, heading southbound on Flatbush Avenue.
The victim suffered a laceration to the head and swelling to his face as a result of the assault. No arrests have been announced, and the suspects remain at large.
