Man Found Dead, Floating in Water Off Rockaway Beach

ROCKAWAY BEACH, NY – A late-night emergency call led police to Rockaway Beach and Boardwalk, where an unconscious man was discovered floating in the water. The incident occurred around 12:30 AM on Monday, within the jurisdiction of the 100th Precinct.

Upon their arrival, first responders found the male, in his 30s, unresponsive. He was quickly removed from the water and transported by EMS to St. John’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The identity of the deceased is currently withheld as family members have not yet been notified. The medical examiner is set to determine the cause of death. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
