MEDINA, OH — A Powerball player in Medina is celebrating after winning $50,000 in the Saturday, January 18 drawing, the Ohio Lottery announced.

The lucky ticket was purchased at Johnny Malloy’s, located at 1038 North Court Street in Medina. The winning numbers for the drawing were 14, 31, 35, 64, 69, with the Powerball 23 and Power Play 2.

The winner selected their own numbers and matched 4-of-5 numbers plus the Powerball to secure the $50,000 prize. The odds of achieving this are 1 in 913,129.

The Powerball jackpot for the upcoming Wednesday, January 22, drawing is estimated at $31 million.

Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $33 billion to education across the state.
