PITTSBURGH, PA – The Pittsburgh Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force, has successfully executed an arrest warrant for a suspect in an armed carjacking case.
On January 23, 2024, 16-year-old Treamon Thomas was apprehended while walking on Brushton Avenue in the 1000 block. At the time of his arrest, Thomas was found to be in possession of a firearm.
The arrest is linked to an incident that occurred on September 23, on Webster Avenue, where an armed carjacking took place. Thomas faces multiple felony charges, including three counts of Conspiracy, Robbery of a Motor Vehicle, Robbery, Theft by Unlawful Taking, and Simple Assault.
This arrest represents a significant development in the ongoing efforts of the Pittsburgh Police Department to address violent crimes in the city. The case is now proceeding through the legal system, with Thomas facing serious charges for his alleged involvement in the carjacking.
