UPPER MARLBORO, MD – A fatal collision involving an ATV and a motorcycle is under investigation by the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit.
The incident, which occurred on Friday, at around 8:50 pm, resulted in the death of 41-year-old ATV operator Michael Kelly from Upper Marlboro.
The collision happened on Woodyard Road near Sherwood Drive.
Kelly was pronounced dead at the scene, while a child passenger on the ATV sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was hospitalized.
The motorcycle rider, involved in the brief collision causing the ATV to lose control, fled the scene and is currently sought by the police. The investigation into the exact circumstances of the incident is ongoing.
