December 26, 2025

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Two people were hospitalized early Christmas morning after a shooting inside a home on Howard Street, according to Cambridge police.

Officers responded to the residence just before 3:30 a.m. and found two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Police administered medical aid until Cambridge fire and EMS personnel arrived. Both victims were taken by ambulance to local hospitals for treatment.

Investigators said one victim sustained serious injuries, while the other’s wounds were described as non-life-threatening.

A preliminary investigation indicates the shooting occurred during a gathering at the home. Police said the incident appears to be isolated and that there is no broader threat to public safety.

The investigation remains ongoing.
