BALTIMORE, MD – Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 31-year-old woman wanted in connection with a parental abduction that took place earlier this week in North Baltimore.

Detectives from the Baltimore Police Department’s Northern District say Laerica Sparks is wanted on an active warrant following the abduction, which occurred on January 12 in the 4100 block of Old York Road.

Authorities did not release details about the child involved or the circumstances surrounding the incident. Parental abduction typically involves a parent or guardian unlawfully taking a child in violation of custody or court agreements.

Police are urging anyone with information on Sparks’ whereabouts to call 911 immediately.
