Newport News, VA -The Newport News Police Department is again seeking public assistance in the ongoing investigation of a double homicide that occurred at the Kiln Creek 7-Eleven on June 15, 2022.
Authorities are particularly interested in speaking with individuals who have previously provided information about the case.
On Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at approximately 11:46 p.m., police were dispatched to a reported suspicious situation at a business located on the 1400 block of Kiln Creek Parkway. Upon arrival, they discovered two adult males with gunshot wounds inside the establishment. The victims, identified as 52-year-old Preyas Patel and 35-year-old Logan Edward Thomas, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The 7-Eleven Corporation is now offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest related to this case. Individuals with knowledge about the incident or who can identify relevant persons are encouraged to contact Detective Rogers at 757-928-4219. This reward is separate from the Virginia Peninsula Crime Stoppers reward, and anonymity is not maintained for those seeking the 7-Eleven reward.
