Washington, D.C. — A 12-year-old boy was shot in the leg Monday evening in Northwest D.C., according to officials. The shooting occurred around 4:23 p.m. in the 5900 block of Georgia Avenue.
The injured child was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities are asking residents to be on the lookout for a suspect described as a teenager wearing a white t-shirt, black pants, and a black hooded sweatshirt tied around his waist.
