In his post, Trump labeled Jack Smith as “deranged” and criticized the move as an attempt to silence his commentary on what he views as prosecutorial misconduct. He referred to the raid of his Mar-a-Lago residence as “Illegal, Unconstitutional, and Unwarranted.” Trump also attacked the integrity of the judiciary, particularly pointing out actions by Judge Juan Merchan in New York City, whom he accused of being biased and under political influence.
Trump further elaborated on what he perceives as judicial and prosecutorial errors in his legal battles, including what he describes as “FAKE” options given to the jury by Judge Merchan. He criticized the handling of his legal expenses, framing it as a straightforward transaction that has been misconstrued by the prosecution under District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who he claims is backed by George Soros.
The former president’s statement ended with a broad condemnation of his legal challenges as a “Democrat Persecutor controlled” effort aimed at interfering with elections, encapsulating his message with his campaign slogan “MAGA2024.”
