Man Shot Multiple Times Dead In D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department’s Homicide Branch is conducting an investigation into a fatal shooting that occurred in Southeast D.C. on Sunday night.

The incident took place around 11:00 p.m. in the 3000 block of Martin Luther King Jr Avenue. Officers, who were nearby at the time of the incident, reported hearing gunshots and observed a vehicle speeding away from the scene. They located the vehicle shortly thereafter, along with a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was quickly transported to a local hospital, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Dionte Claytor, a resident of Southeast D.C. The police are seeking assistance from the public in gathering information about this case.
