TRENTON, N.J. — The New Jersey Conservation Foundation has received $16 million in grants as it continues to support the state’s clean energy initiatives, including efforts to advance offshore wind energy.
The organization has played a key role in advocating for Gov. Phil Murphy’s renewable energy policies. Murphy has pushed for offshore wind development through multiple solicitations aimed at reducing the state’s reliance on fossil fuels.
The foundation is also leading efforts to pass legislation that would solidify Murphy’s executive order to achieve 100% clean electricity. In addition, it is working to address greenhouse gas emissions from natural gas and other fossil fuels used for heating in homes and businesses.
Financial records show that in 2023, the New Jersey Conservation Foundation received more than $6.5 million in funding. The latest grants boost the organization’s resources as it continues its advocacy in the clean energy sector.
The funding underscores the foundation’s role in shaping New Jersey’s energy policies as the state pushes toward its ambitious renewable energy goals.
