Police investigate non-fatal shooting, make handgun arrest, and seize drugs in Crownsville
Anne Arundel County, MD – Police in Anne Arundel County responded to a series of incidents Wednesday night, including a shooting in Pasadena, a handgun-related arrest in Millersville, and a drug investigation in Crownsville that led to significant seizures and charges.
Officers were first called around 7:45 p.m. to the area of Shirley Murphy Court and Whitaker Road in Pasadena for a reported shooting. Responding officers learned an adult male victim was already being treated at a nearby hospital for what were described as non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Authorities said the investigation into the shooting remains active as detectives continue to gather evidence and identify potential witnesses.

According to Anne Arundel County Police, “On March 31, 2026, at approximately 7:45 p.m., Northern District officers responded to a shooting that occurred in the area of Shirley Murphy Court and Whitaker Road in Pasadena.” Police added, “Officers learned the adult male victim was being treated for apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wounds at an area hospital.”

Later that night, at approximately 10:15 p.m., officers responded to a report of an assault involving a firearm near I-97 and Route 32 in Millersville. Police said the victim reported that a driver in a blue Toyota Prius pointed a handgun at him while both were on the road.
Using the vehicle’s registration information provided by the victim, officers located the suspect’s car with assistance from the Real Time Information Center. The driver was taken into custody without incident, and a loaded Glock 41 handgun was recovered from the glovebox.
Police identified the suspect as Adam Jeffrey Weimer, 41, of Indian Head, Maryland.
Drug investigation leads to arrests in Crownsville
In a separate case, Western District detectives executed a search warrant at a residence on Dockser Drive in Crownsville as part of an ongoing drug investigation. Authorities said the search extended to the suspects and a vehicle connected to the case.

Police reported seizing “88.20 grams of suspected cocaine, 19.08 grams of Psilocybin Mushrooms, .46 grams of suspected MDMA, 22.29 grams of suspected Cannabis, 45.9 grams of suspected THC gummies along with $9,580 in U.S. currency.”
Francis Xavier Steffens, 59, of Crownsville, was arrested and charged. Officials said charges are also pending against a second suspect.
