Wilkes-Barre store sells $500K winning Cash 5 ticket in Pennsylvania Lottery drawing

WILKES-BARRE, PA – A Pennsylvania Lottery player in Luzerne County has won a $500,000 jackpot after matching all five numbers in the January 6 Cash 5 with Quick Cash drawing.

The winning ticket was sold at Valley Mart, located at 412 South Main Street in Wilkes-Barre. The retailer will receive a $500 bonus for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.

The numbers drawn were 3, 6, 8, 12, and 17.

The winner has one year from the drawing date to claim the prize. The Pennsylvania Lottery does not identify winners until prizes are claimed and tickets are validated. Quick Cash game prizes must also be claimed within one year of the purchase date.

This win was one of two $500,000 jackpot tickets sold for the same drawing. In total, more than 26,800 other Cash 5 with Quick Cash tickets also won prizes.
