Delaware motorcyclist killed in Selbyville crash identified by state police

Troopers say the deadly Lighthouse Road motorcycle wreck remains under active investigation

SELBYVILLE, Del. — Delaware State Police have identified the motorcyclist killed in a crash earlier this week along Lighthouse Road in Selbyville as investigators continue working to determine exactly what led to the deadly collision.

Authorities identified the victim as 56-year-old Robert Riden of Frankford, Delaware.

The fatal motorcycle crash happened Wednesday on Lighthouse Road in Selbyville, according to Delaware State Police.

Investigators from the Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit continue examining the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Police have not yet released additional details about how the collision occurred.

Troopers are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or may have information related to the investigation to contact Master Corporal R. Albert at (302) 703-3266.

Information can also be submitted through a private Facebook message to Delaware State Police or anonymously through Delaware Crime Stoppers at (800) 847-3333.

State police also reminded residents that support services are available for victims, witnesses, and families impacted by sudden deaths through the Delaware State Police Victim Services Unit and Delaware Victim Center.
