Porsche rams patrol car in wild county chase

Porsche slams patrol car during dramatic Pasadena chase

Pasadena, MD – A blue Porsche racing through Pasadena streets left a disabled patrol vehicle and a trail of damage before crashing and ending a pursuit that unfolded in broad daylight.

The incident began Saturday around 11:25 a.m. when an alert from an automated license plate reader flagged a 2022 Porsche sedan connected to outstanding arrest warrants. The vehicle was spotted on Fort Smallwood Road near Marley Neck Road and began making evasive maneuvers.

After briefly losing sight of the Porsche, an officer was flagged down by a family who reported nearly being struck by the same vehicle. Moments later, the Porsche crested a hill traveling directly into the officer’s lane and collided with the patrol vehicle, disabling it by tearing the tire from the rim.

The driver fled but crashed again in the 6400 block of Fort Smallwood Road and attempted to escape on foot. With assistance from the Real Time Information Center, officers located and arrested the suspect.
