EATONTOWN, NJ – A local rescue dog named Roxy is waiting for a miracle before she can begin her road to recovery. The Monmouth County SPCA announced that while funding for Roxy’s surgery has been secured, she cannot undergo the procedure until a foster home is found.

Roxy, who suffered a torn ACL, needs a temporary home where she can recover comfortably for three months following her surgery. Thanks to the nonprofit group @bellasfriendsforever, the cost of the operation has been fully covered. However, shelter staff say the surgery cannot move forward until a foster family steps up to care for her during her recovery period.

Described as a friendly, housebroken dog who enjoys human companionship, Roxy will need to be the only pet in the household while she heals. The SPCA is providing all necessary supplies and support for anyone willing to foster her.

In a heartfelt appeal, the Monmouth County SPCA called on the community to share Roxy’s story in hopes of finding her a safe and loving environment. Those interested in fostering can message @loveafoster on social media or email fostering@monmouthcountyspca.org for more information.

A Monmouth County dog named Roxy can’t receive her funded ACL surgery until she finds a foster home to recover in.
