One Bite Pizza Gives Ocean County Pizzeria Massive Review: This is Great S–t!

TOMS RIVER, N.J. — Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy gave a glowing review to PaciDough’s Pizza Joint in South Toms River, awarding it an impressive 8.2 score during his latest “One Bite” pizza review.

Portnoy, who was under the weather during the review, praised the pizza despite his illness and blamed his illness for not being able to remember local sports icon, Todd Frazier’s name.

“My ears are still plugged from the plane, my throat hurts, my eyes are inside out, but I think this is an 82 in any league,” he said.

The pizzeria, which has been open for about nine months, was not listed on the One Bite app before Portnoy’s visit. He described the pizza as having a “cold sauce that’s a little bit sweet” and “a little soupy, but it doesn’t taste soupy.”

The pizza was well done and had a nice crisp, according to Portnoy.

The review drew excitement from the pizzeria’s owners, with one person on-site expressing pride in the establishment’s dedication.

The owner said there have been some problems since Portnoy’s visit, and phones have been buzzing since the review was published. On Friday, PaciDough’s sold out of pizza by 4:30 p.m.

On Saturday, the restaurant said it will try to keep the phone lines open and will sell pizza once again until they sell out.
