New Jersey drivers find cheapest gas in Fort Lee at $2.27 per gallon

FORT LEE, N.J. – New Jersey motorists looking to stretch their dollars at the pump are heading to Fort Lee, where a Conoco station on Anderson Avenue posted the lowest price in the state today at $2.27 per gallon, according to GasBuddy data.

The next best deals can be found at several Costco and BJ’s Wholesale Club locations, with prices holding steady around $2.41 per gallon in Cherry Hill and Maple Shade. Independent stations such as Gas and Diesel in East Hanover and Delta in Union followed closely behind, listing regular unleaded for $2.43 and $2.44 per gallon, respectively.

In other parts of the state, Costco’s Mount Laurel and Union locations are drawing long lines with gas priced at $2.45 per gallon.

GasBuddy reports that most stations across New Jersey are now averaging between $2.40 and $2.55, reflecting a mild drop from last week’s averages as crude oil prices continue to soften nationwide.

Fort Lee’s Conoco currently offers the cheapest fuel in New Jersey at $2.27 a gallon, nearly 20 cents below the statewide average.
