D.C. Armed robbery suspect wanted after Sherman Avenue daylight theft

Washington, D.C. — A suspect captured on surveillance footage is being sought in connection with an armed robbery that took place on Sherman Avenue in Northwest DC on November 23.

Around 11:40 a.m., the suspect approached a victim in the 2800 block of Sherman Avenue. Police said one of the suspects displayed a handgun before taking the victim’s property and fleeing the scene.

Authorities have released surveillance images of the suspect in hopes the public can assist in identifying them.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the incident is asked to contact police at (202) 727-9099 or text tips to 50411. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
