Deadly Shooting in D.C. Leaves One Dead, Two Injured

WASHINGTON, DC — Detectives from the D.C. Metro Police Department’s Homicide Branch are actively investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Thursday morning in Northwest Washington. The incident took place at the intersection of 10th and Spring Road.

Following reports of gunshots around 12:08 AM Thursday, officers from the Fourth District discovered three victims. One adult male, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds, was declared deceased at the scene despite efforts to save him. Additionally, an adult female and a teenage male were found with gunshot injuries and were subsequently hospitalized for treatment.

The deceased’s identity has not been released as authorities await notification of his family. Police are urging anyone with information about the shooting to contact them at (202) 727-9099 or send a tip via text to the D.C. Metro Police Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.
